You have to ‘expect the unexpected’ with this! The official teaser of ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput is out and is rivetting enough to hold your attention.
The teaser shows glimpses of the warring Kolkata (then: Calcutta) in the year 1943 and a young Byomkesh Bakshi taking on the the mighty people and solving the mystery.
Advocate-turned author Bandyopadhyay was deeply influenced by Sherlock Holmes of Arthur Conan Doyle and wrote 33 (32 complete and 1 incomplete) Byomkesh stories between 1932 and 1970. See more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
The entire series was adapted for tv starring Rajit Kapoor. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie is slated to release in the first half of 2015.
