Star Dust awards : Did it really happen?


The Stardust Awards is an award ceremony for Hindi movies, which congratulate the superstars of the new generation who are making an impact on the future. It is sponsored by Stardust magazine.

Now since these so called searchlight awards are meant to promote future stars, they were meant as some sort of encouragement always. But this years awards seem more like an 
exercise to honour a star just to get them to the show.  Now we will see the different categories of honours in Memento movie style .i.e. backwards.

11.00 pm: Sansui Colors Stardust Awards 2015 ended with Shah Rukh Khan receiving the Star of the Year (Male) award from Amitabh Bachchan. 
Is the movie Happy new Year. Do you really get and award for that?
10.55 pm: Deepika Padukone, who won the Star of the Year (Female) award for "Happy New Year", was given the award by Amitabh Bachchan.
Honestly an award for Finding Fanny would have been so so better

10.50 pm: Sansui Colors Stardust Awards felicitated Anupam Kher with Pride of the film industry award for his years of hard work. He received this honour from Amitabh Bachchan.
Well deserved!!!
10.45 pm: Sansui Colors Stardust Awards bestowed Amitabh Bachchan with the International Icon award. Actress Tandon Raveena honoured the legendary actor with this award.
He is truly an icon.
10.40 pm: Tabu gave away the Achiever of the Year Best Drama Actor award to Shahid Kapoor, who won this award for his performance in "Haider".
Really Good performance by Shahid. He really deserved it.
10.35 pm: Priyanka Chopra bagged the Best Drama Actress award for her performance in "Mary Kom".
Ohh!! seems like Kangana was less deserving. Anyways PC is always looking forward to receive it.

10.15 pm: Farah Khan received the Dream Director and Film of the Year award for "Happy New Year".
Whatever happened to people's minds even after watching a movie like that , do you still dare to call her dream director??
10.10 pm: The members of Rajshri Productions were honoured with Colors Legends' Hall Of Fame.
They are truly legendary and have not faded into oblivion nor produce films without moral values. But they are odd one out in current generation. But still relevant to today's youth.
10.05 pm: Jacqueline Fernandez received the Stardust award for Style Diva from Sonam Kapoor.
She is looking lovely as always. Good for you Jackie!!
10.00 pm: Veteran actress Asha Parekh was honoured with the Stardust Lifetime Achievement award.
Respect Ashaji!!
9.50 pm: Jacqueline Fernandez gave the Best Comedy/Romance Actress award to Sonam Kapoor, who won it for "Khoobsurat".
Seems like the award had no compeition . Wait isn't it specially created category for the first time ?? 
9.48 pm: Varun Dhawan got the Best Comedy/Romance Actor award for his performance in "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania".
Oh come one!! Now when we giveaway to actress lets give to an actor. Next what ?? Best supporting actor in romantic comedy action thriller movie???
9.46 pm: Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were chosen as the Stardust Jodi of the Year award. Arjun received the award from Sonali Bendre.
This award should be definitely given to them . But I would give them to Koffee with Karan episode rather than Gunday.
9.43 pm: Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Thriller/Action Actor award for "Happy New Year". On his behalf, Farah Khan received from Sophie Choudry and Neil Nithin Mukesh.
Oh shit!!. So Shahrukh is now going to think that a mindless comedy "Happy New Year" is on par with "Swades" and "Chak De India"
9.41 pm: Rani Mukherjee nabbed the Best Thriller/Action Actress award for "Mardaani".
Rani had that definitely coming . But who will win in Filmfare where there are no sub categories??
9.30 pm: Sonu Sood grabbed the Best Actor in a Negative Role award for "Entertainment". After receiving the award, he also shook his leg on super hit song 'India Waale' from Happy New Year.
Thank God. I was expecting Riteish Deshmukh will win this award. We need more such awards to keep the best aside.
9.30 pm: Govinda won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film "Kill Dil".
No comments for Chi Chi bhaiyya!!
9.30 pm: Tabu was awarded the Best Supporting Actress for "Haider". She received the award from Zayed Khan and Mugdha Godse.
Tabu is always class apart.
9.25 pm: Tiger Shroff, who won the Superstar of Tomorrow (Male) for his performance in "Heropanti", received the award from his father Jackie. He also shook his legs for the hit song of the film on the request of Karan Johar.
Next we will see Tiger playing a romantic lead in Kjo's movie ala Siddharth.
9.13 pm: Sidharth Shukla walked away with the Breakthrough Performance (Male) award for his performance in "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania".
Is that breakthrough !!really?
9.10 pm: Huma Qureshi nabbed the Breakthrough Performance in Supporting Role award for "Dedh Ishqiya".
9.00 pm: Randeep Hooda got the Searchlight award for Best Actor for "Highway".
8.57 pm: Kangana Ranaut bagged the Searchlight award for Best Actress for her performance in "Queen".
8.55 pm: "Queen" won the Searchlight award for Best Film
8.50 pm: Vikas Bahl and Imtiaz Ali bagged the Searchlight awards for Best Director for their work in "Queen" and "Highway" respectively.
8.34 pm: Ankit Tiwari walked away the Best Playback Singer award for his song 'Galliyan' in "Ek Villain"

8.15 pm: The following awards were given away at the beginning of the event
Best Music Director: "Yaariyaan"
Best Lyricist: Kausar Munir for "Daawat-e-Ishq"
Best Playback Singer – Female: Kanika Kapoor (Baby Doll) "Ragini MMS 2"
9.00 pm: Randeep Hooda got the Searchlight award for Best Actor for Highway
8.57 pm: Kangana Ranaut bagged the Searchlight award for Best Actress for her performance in Queen.
8.55 pm: Queen won Searchlight award for Best Film
8.50: Vikas Bahl and Imtiaz Ali bagged Searchlight award for Best Director for their work in Queen and Highway respectively
Wait!! So these were the real award categories?? They were given at beginning of event. Then what were others after the real awards? It was a 2 hours cinema with a script and some songs thrown in between as admitted by them in poster below:) . The real award show was over in beginning of event.
