'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' an upcoming film starring Hrithik Roshan , Katrina Kaif , Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol,Kalki Koechlin is directed by Zoya Akhtar.The film shot mostly in Spain ,Egypt and India is a male bonding road story about three friends. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. Zoya who made her directorial debut with critically appreciated Luck by Chance returns to the music director trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. So as the promos have been pretty close to Dil Chahta hai is the music equally as entertaining? Let's see.
Dil Dhadakne Do
Even though the makers and the makers of the film deny the film closely related to Dil Chahta hai, the music album proves otherwise. Well the proof might be this song which is thematically similar to 'Koi Kahe'. Well the similarity doesnt end there. The song is sung by three singers Shankar Mahadevan, Suraj Jagan, Joi Barua.'Dil Dhadakne Do' starts initially like the title song of Dil Chahta hai and later transforms into the title song of Wake up Sid. The guitar beats are so much similar to Wake up Sid. The song ends suddenly without an ending note.It is particularly enjoyable while driving. Though the song is refreshing it does not linger for long in memory.

Ik Junoon (Paint It Red)
This is the highlight song of the album sung by Vishal Dadlani. The singing credits include Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Alyssa Mendonsa, Gulraj Singh. From start to finish it does not stop to surprise with its snazzy beats and the chorus. The song feels like Uff teri Ada song from Karthik Calling Karthik.The tempo is maintained throughout the song. Watch for the song picturisation shot at La Tomatina Festival in Brazil. As from the posters there is a song entirely shot in the famous tomato fight style where each and every frame will be painted red with tomato featuring all the leads. This is surely the song. It is surely the disco number of the year where all the clubs are sure to play it for the New year celebrations of 2012.

Khaabon Ke Parinday
The song starts with a guitar strumming . Alyssa Mendonsa's voice has a certain amount of freshness. It is a soft melody and has the feel of a song on road trip. As the film is a road movie the song seems to carry forward the theme of the movie. It has feel of the song Phir Dekhiye from Rock On with the slowness and subtleness. The song is idle for a soothing effect. In the middle of song Mohit chauhan's voice surprises for a line as the listener expects the entire song to be in female voice

The song starts with lyrics in spanish and local beats. The song has all the three male leads Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol testing their singing talent with Maria Del Mar Fernandez. . Farhan Akhtar returns to singing after Rock On. He surely has a husky natural voice.Hrithik's debut song as a singer "Kites in the sky" was not much of a hit, but he has got his first hit in this song. The song is entirely a mixture of spanish and hindi lyrics. It brings the feel of those Goan songs in 80s and 90s which were very enjoyable.

Der Lagi Lekin
The single by Shankar Mahadevan is a song about feeling sorry and redemption. The song is more situational but the lyrics feel sound more like dialogue than those of song. Shankar's voice in the song is uninspiring and tiring and make the song depressing. Surely a fresh voice may have uplifted the song as this is certainly not his best .It is better if he takes a break in singing under his own music direction.

Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein
The song is second best in the album.Sung by Loy Mendonsa, Dominique Cerejo, Clinton Cerejo, the song seems to be inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller album. The beats sound more alike.

Toh Zinda Ho Tum
This slow melody is not a song but a poetic rendition by Farhan Akhtar ala Kabhie Kabhie with a guitar rendition.

The song starts on a slow note and doesn't sound anything different from original . Infact original song had more catchy beats than the remix making one wonder why do they need the remix version at all.

Thankfully this remix does not disappoint and has the fast pace and tapping beats of a remix dance number.

The total album is refreshing,youthful with a mix of latino songs are good.The target is urban youth who will surely enjoy all the songs. The album is totally inspired by Dil Chahta hai . Ik Junoon - Paint It Red and Senorita are highlight of the album. Dil Dhadaknaey Do and Khaabon ke Parindey are also good.The album will rise on charts slowly .
