The four day opening of Captain America was $101.2 million whereas Spiderman 2 was $96.7 million.
Looks like mixed reviews and weak word of mouth may bring 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' from the top spot after just a single week.
The movie brought in only $5.1 million at the box office on Monday which is the lowest first Monday earnings in the entire franchise's five picture history. Internationally, the movie is performing well .
