The film stars Varun Dhawan as Humpty Sharma, Alia Bhatt as Kavya Pratap Singh. Directed by Shashank Khaitan Produced by Karan Johar the movie will be in Theatres 11th July, 2014.
Alia Bhatt's character reminds one of Poo from 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' and Geet from 'Jab we Met'. Kareena Kapoor is also mentioned by Alia when she tells her relatives, "Main shaadi karoongi to Kareena wala designer lehenga pehen kar…" Shot in Delhi mostly, the film had the typical scenes of Delhi University or the city's roads or its terraces.
The best part is at the end of the trailer where Varun is seen crying while watching the climactic scene from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge with tears in his eyes.Enjoy the fun.
The trailer also has in equal prominence the role of Siddharth shukla who is the videshi villain for our desi hero. Sid was spotted on reality show of 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja' by Karan Johar who judges the show. Karan offered a 3 film contract to Sid who is making his debut now with 'Humpty..'
