My review - Youngistaan

A young 28 year old game developer is suddenly called back to head his country India as his father who is a prime minister is dead. His dying father had asked Abhimanyu to accept the PM position and complete his unfulfilled task.

Sworn in as the youngest prime minister of the largest democracy Abhi has multitude tasks of managing his cabinet members who have bigger egos and his girlfriend who is unhappy with her boyfriends entry in politics. Abhimanyu proposes marriage to his girlfriend who rejects it saying that she does wants to marry not under any pressure but when they feel its right.

Meanwhile papparazi publishes Abhi's photos and his lifestyle comes in spotlight with his cabinet and people questioning his live-in status. Will Abhi able to turn around people's focus from his personal life? Will his girlfriend continue  being his support system inspite of the glare on their private life? Will Abhi turn around fortune of the country and give youngistaan their much needed development?

The good part of the movie lies in the way Abhimanyu handles all the situations. Jacky Bhagnani suits very much in his role. He has improved so much from FALTU. It is good he chooses story oriented movies and continues to improve his acting. Neha is good in her role and looks glamorous. Farooque Sheikh has given very good performance as Akbar, secretary of younger PM Jacky. Music is bad. Inspite of saying that there is no resemblance, Abhi's characterisation is a mix of Rahul Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. There ia finance minister who looks more like chidambaram, one like Pranab Mukherjee and an Arnab lookalike called Parnab.

Watch the movie to get a glimpse of something which is nearly impossible in near future but what we can dream of an younger prime minister.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars
