Karan Johar, who is making his full fledged acting debut with Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet is already grabbing a lot of eyeballs with his new found acting avatar. Buzz is that Karan Johar, who plays the antagonist in the film, will also be romancing Anushka Sharma.
The film which is a period drama is directed by Anurag Kashyap and has KaranJohar playing a Parsi businessman, Kaizad Khambatta, who will play a crucial role in Ranbir’s life. Anushka plays a Jazz singer and Ranbir is an underdog whose journey to become a big shot is what the film all about.
The "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" star will essay a street-fighter named Johnny Balraj. Anushka will reportedly sport a 35 kg outfit for her opening song in the movie. "Bombay Velvet" is produced by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios. It
