Hollywood Updates : Avenger's sequel, Jennifer Lawrence paid $10 million for "Catching Fire"


Hollywood updates:
Joss Whedon will be returning to "Avengers" . The adaptation of the Marvel Comics series has grossed nearly $1.5 billion worldwide.  He has signed to write and direct "The Avengers 2," Disney Chairman Bob Iger said Tuesday. Whedon will create a "Marvel-based" series for ABC.


The next Avengers will team-up in the summer of 2015, following next year's Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, and 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians Of The Galaxy.


A Cleveland-area man has been arrested for carrying a gun, ammunition, and several knives at 'Dark Knight Rises' screening in Ohio


Jennifer Lawrence , who starred in "The Hunger Games" that grossed  globally $683.8 million, is in the final stages of negotiating a deal with Lionsgate worth somewhere in the range of $10 million for the upcoming sequel, "Catching Fire."

Her fee for the first film was $500,000 -- plus bonuses.
